Stockholm: Skyline International vehemently condemns the deplorable incident of two Manipuri women being paraded naked, as depicted in a distressing video that surfaced on social media.

Expressing deep concern and anguish, the Supreme Court of India, led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, took suo motu cognisance of the incident on Thursday. The court rightfully labeled this act as a gross violation of constitutional and human rights, sending a clear message that such heinous acts have no place in a civilized society.

The video, dated May 4, 2023, revealed a horrifying scene where a mob of over 1000 individuals subjected the two innocent women to unspeakable cruelty, perpetrating sexual assault and humiliation.

Skyline International stands in solidarity with the Supreme Court of India in its call for justice and accountability. We firmly believe that all individuals, regardless of gender, deserve dignity, respect, and protection from any form of violence or abuse.

As an independent news organization committed to promoting human rights and social justice, we demand immediate and decisive action from the Manipur government and the central government of India to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice swiftly. Moreover, we call for comprehensive measures to be taken to prevent any future occurrence of such atrocities.

We applaud the Chief Justice of India and the three-judge bench for taking a strong stance against this grave injustice. Skyline International reiterates its dedication to shedding light on such human rights violations and supporting efforts to create a safer and more just society for all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families during this difficult time. We will continue to closely monitor the developments in this case and report on progress made towards justice.
